Mesh Nets

Mesh Nets are cut from a variety of fabrics, with a varying degree of openness, and finished with a reinforced border. They can be made to fit any shape with grommet, pipe sleeve, or webbing tab lacing, or (depending on the stretch of the material) 1 to 3 sides may have boltrope or cable sleeves without lacing. All mesh nets are constructed to compensate for the material stretch by under cutting the mesh by a specific ratio and stretching to fit the border material. Border construction is critical to the durability of these nets, and our borders are all built with underlying reinforcement and multiple rows of stitching covered by a finish layer of tough vinyl coated fabric, and additional multiple rows of stitching, all in Gor-Tex Tenara thread.

Description

Polypropylene
Mesh

This woven mesh, available in black , is extremely durable. Most mesh trampolines are cut on the bias (fibers at a 45 angle to the border) which greatly increases the holding power of the grommets, and allows the use of boltrope on all but one side to reduce the amount of lacing. Because of the low openness this mesh is not recommended for bow areas of offshore yachts, but works well on more central locations. This is the preferred material for beach catamarans. Our experience and skill in high quality fabrication with it is unsurpassed. (The blue color in this mesh is no longer available however we do have some beach cat trampolines in stock in this color)

Coated Polyester
Mesh

The Coated Polyester Mesh is a moderately open, knitted material with our vinyl coating applied in any of the 12 available colors. It has approximately 5/16" diameter round holes on about 1/2" centers. This is a very attractive and comfortable mesh, however it has a lower breaking strength than the other meshes. We do not recommend its use for nets over 80 sq Ft or on commercial use vessels. We apply the coating to this mesh while it is under tension, to reduce the stretch, and use additional reinforcement to help improve its durability. This is the most popular mesh for small to mid size nets that require a moderate openness.

Square Hole Mesh

This is a very strong woven mesh with 1/4" wide fibers and 1/4" holes. It is coated with a heavy vinyl coating in white only. The openness of this mesh is slightly less than the Coated Polyester Mesh but it is twice as strong. This mesh comes in a limited width, so any nets with the narrower dimension of more than six feet would have to be seamed. All seams are double folded and covered.

Textaline Mesh

Textaline is a very attractive, woven, vinyl coated mesh available in a variety of colors. The openness of Textaline is a little higher than that of the Polypropylene Mesh, however it has a slightly lower strength. It is available in a narrower width that will require seams on larger nets. Textaline will work well in smaller net areas and on beach cats where openness is not critical and a colorfull attractive net is desired
